The Megaplier number is drawn before each Mega Millions drawing and depending upon the number drawn, your non-grand/jackpot prize winnings will increase by 2, 3 or 4 times. The Megaplier is an additional $1 per play board. The Megaplier number is chosen from a field of 21 numbers according to the following frequency: twelve number 4's, seven number 3's and two number 2's, so it is most likely that your prize will be multiplied by 4.
Any non-grand/jackpot prize you win on a Mega Millions play will be multiplied by the Megaplier number drawn if you have purchased the Megaplier feature. For example, if you win $150 on Mega Millions and the Megaplier number drawn is 3, you would win $450 ($150 x 3) if you purchased the Megaplier feature.
